The Grandhotel Belvédère Davos was opened on July 17, 1875 - a quarter century before the Magic Mountain Sanatorium on Schatzalp.
Belvédére became the social center of the sophisticated tuberculosis health resort and is now the meeting point for the annual World Economic Forum (WEF).
